In learning outcomes 5 and 6 we learn to use appropriate source citations and address typical errors. throughout the completion of my final significant paper I made local revisions that have helped me increase my grade on the paper. the link to my final paper is here:final draft for paper 2 in this specific instance I had used Easy bib for my bibliography. the site helps you get all of the parts you would need in an MLA formatted paper works cited. it checks site to make sure they are reliable and not copy righted. you get all the major parts of the bibliography that are needed to get full credit. Other than this site I have used in class citations.
as for local edits throughout this paper I used gram marly which is a site that marks local edits that can easily be changed. I used my roommates and my peers to check my local errors. my typical errors consist of grammar and miss placing commas. overall as the year has gone by I have grown in my ability to revise and cite sources.
“ Because the world economy is so hyper-competitive, much of the focus in education these days from Singapore to Shanghai to American Schools is on STEM, As important as that is, it is short-sighted. we need to add the empathetic reasoning of the arts to the mix- STEAM. The values behind arts integration- collaboration, flexible thinking, and disciplined imagination, lead to the capacity to innovate.” (Yo-Yo Ma),
because of this quote I must cite yo yo ma’s article in my bibliography. my professor has taught me to do so but if I ever forget I can reference The little seagull book where the author addresses writing, research, editing, and exercises that you can use to enhance your paper.
for Yo-Yo Ma’s citation the example would be:
Ma,Yo-Yo. “Necessary Edges: Arts, Empathy, and Education.” Emerging: Contemporary readings for Writers, e dited by Barclay Barrios 3rd ed, Bedford, St. Martin’s 2016, pp 257-261.
this specific citation was given to us y our professor but had it not been given to us I would look to up online and find the article and cite it on easy Bib.
